Nancy Pelosi: Allegations Not ‘Disqualifying,’ but Joe Biden Should ‘Join the Straight-Arm Club’
Even though House Speaker Nancy Pelosi doesn’t think Joe Biden‘s alleged inappropriate conduct disqualifies him from the 2020 election, she recommends that the former vice president learn to let people have their personal space.
During a live chat event with Politico on Tuesday, Pelosi was asked to expand on her previous statement on the recent allegations about Biden’s questionable behavior with women.
“I don’t think it’s disqualifying,” Pelosi said, but she explained that Biden should be mindful about his physical interactions with people.
“I’m a member of the straight-arm club…I just pretend that you have a cold and I have a cold,” the speaker continued. “Join the straight-arm club with me, if you will.”
Pelosi went on to compliment Biden and say his affectionate nature is “just the way he is,” but “he has to understand, in the world that we’re in now, people’s space is important to them. What’s important is how they receive it, not necessarily how you intended it.”
