Outspoken Former NFL Player Launches Kickstarter for Game He Designed Himself
You’ll recall that a few years ago, Chris Kluwe was released from his job as a punter for the Minnesota Vikings and he attributed it to how outspoken he was about gay rights. Since then, he’s stayed outspoken, lambasting Donald Trump for seeming to conflate chat about sexual assault with “locker room talk” and becoming one of the most influential voices in the Gamergate debate. When he wasn’t doing that, though, he was creating a tabletop game called Twilight of the Gods, which he announced in October:
I am proud to announce that I’ve developed a tabletop card game called Twilight of the Gods, which is being published by @VPGame!

The Kickstarter for the game launched today with a goal of raising $15,000 to put the game into production. As of this writing, backers have pledged $12,493. You can track its progress here:
In the video above, you can see him explain that the goal of the game is to make sure players are constantly interacting, never just watching one another play. Over on Twitter, you can also see him expressing some pretty serious joy:
If you all can help spread the word, I will be eternally grateful. This is the culmination of years of hard work, and it’s terrifying.
