The Blaze‘s Tomi Lahren Sets Twitter On Fire, Blaming BLM For Dallas Police Murders
In the minutes following the first reports of the murders of multiple Dallas police officers, The Blaze‘s Tomi Lahren became one of the nation’s top trending topics on Twitter after she took to social media to blame Black Lives Matter demonstrators for “openly applauding this war on cops.”
In one now deleted tweet, Lahren compared BLM to the Ku Klux Klan.
Tomi Lahren deleted her vile tweet calling the BLM movement the new KKK. We still have it, you horrible human. pic.twitter.com/0Sf6WiVhY7

Dear @theblaze and @glennbeck:
This is a tweet that @TomiLahren deleted. She must explain why she wrote it. pic.twitter.com/ydUHf2X62b

But there were several tweets she elected to stand by.
A battle of the races solves NOTHING. A war on cops SOLVES NOTHING. I don’t wish for the death of anyone and I certainly don’t applaud it.

Shouldn’t celebrate death of ANY innocent person. Period. The difference? Many in the BLM community are openly applauding this war on cops.

Somehow THIS shit is acceptable to post but speaking out against your war on cops is racist. Bullshit. #DallasPD pic.twitter.com/FSwcBWMaEY

She accused the media, President Obama, and Attorney General Loretta Lynch for being complicit in the murders of the Dallas officers.
This is what happens when the media and our leaders validate and embolden those that want to wage a war on cops. #Dallas #Bluelivesmatter
— Tomi Lahren (@TomiLahren) July 8, 2016
I wonder if Obama & Loretta Lynch will come out and sob about this too. Highly unlikely and sick. #BlueLivesMatter #Dallas

Lahren has been outspoken in her criticism of Black Lives Matter, including mischaracterizing the group’s premise as advocating a position of “Black Lives Matter more.”
Dear @TomiLahren:
Where did you learn about the KKK? @DRUDGE_REPORT? @FoxNews? What history books have you read? pic.twitter.com/3tbr5VowFr

I truly don’t understand why @TomiLahren still has a job. Fucking shameful. pic.twitter.com/wEco0YphSY

A petition to have Lahren fired from The Blaze quickly appeared on Change.org, created by Natia Brown who wrote: “Tomi Lahren needs to be fired because her INHUMANE comments against anything African American continues to go on and no one does anything about it. She’s clearly impartial and should not be allowed to attack black people the way she has.” It is not the first such petition.
