‘This Is Totally Fake!’: Tucker Carlson Loses It Against Democratic Strategist Over Russia Probe

In the wake of President Donald Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey, Democrats (and some Republicans) have been vocal about the need for an independent investigation and potentially a special prosecutor when it comes to the Russia/Trump investigation.

During tonight’s broadcast of Tucker Carlson Tonight, host Tucker Carlson invited Democratic strategist Mustafa Tameez to discuss whether this was necessary, and since it was Tucker and a Democrat, you could guess that fireworks ensued. And you’d be right.

At one point in the conversation, Carlson straight up called the probe into Russia election interference and potential Trump collusion “ludicrous,” arguing that it was just an excuse by Democrats to politicize the whole thing by opening up investigations in Congress.

After some more back-and-forth between the two men, with Tameez saying an independent investigation was necessary and Carlson accusing him and other Democrats of saying the FBI is too corrupt to handle it now, the Fox News host then went off.

“I’ve reached this conclusion after four months,” Tucker exclaimed. “This is totally fake. It’s totally disingenuous. This whole, ‘No, it’s good for the country this independent investigation.’ That’s not true!”

After Tameez said he was sounding like the president, Carlson said “you can insult me if you want” before stating he was done and ending the interview.
