Trump Appeals to Lindsey Graham: Why Are We Helping ‘Our Enemy’ Syria By Fighting ISIS?
President Trump attacked his reliable supporter Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Thursday for criticizing the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria.
Ever since Trump announced the pullout, Graham and other Republican lawmakers have been vocal with their concerns, saying ISIS hasn’t been defeated in the region despite what Trump claims to the contrary. Graham recently spoke to CNN and said Trump is acting against the advice of top advisers like Defense Secretary James Mattis and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo with regard to Syria.
Trump has clearly noticed this, seeing as he got on Twitter to ask why should America should keep “fighting for our enemy” by continuing ground missions against ISIS.
So hard to believe that Lindsey Graham would be against saving soldier lives & billions of $$$. Why are we fighting for our enemy, Syria, by staying & killing ISIS for them, Russia, Iran & other locals? Time to focus on our Country & bring our youth back home where they belong!

Graham has been a mostly reliable supporter of Trump policy, and particularly supportive of the President in the weeks during and following the nomination hearings for Justice Brett Kavanaugh. But it’s a rocky relationship today. And Graham, who is a member the Armed Services committee and its Subcommittee on Strategic Forces, is not the only Republican pushing back on Trump’s tweeted military withdrawal. Pentagon officials, too, have been highly critical.
