It seems Donald Trump has an idea about how settle things with Rex Tillerson after the secretary of state reportedly called the president a “moron.”
There was a lot of intrigue last week surrounding the news report about how tensions between Trump and Tillerson have reached the point where the latter came close to resigning at one point. Tillerson insisted he never thought about leaving his post, but he never explicitly denied calling Trump a “moron,” which invited even more questions about the administration’s synergy.
“I think it’s fake news, but if he did that, I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win.”
Throughout the interview, Trump boasted about several aspects of his presidency while talking about his economic development plans. Things eventually came back to Tillerson though when Trump responded to questions about whether he undermined the secretary of state’s attempts to negotiate with North Korea.
“He was wasting his time,” Trump said. “I think I’m actually strengthening authority.”
