Here’s a little something to give your faith in humanity a boost for today.
A California man was filmed on the Ventura County highway last night when he pulled over and spotted a rabbit that was getting dangerously close to fires that have ravaged the state in the last few days. After a brief chase around the blaze, the rabbit got close enough that the man was able to pick him up and carry him to safety.
It’s unclear who the man was or what happened to the bunny afterwards, but the footage from the scene is lifting everyone’s spirits all over the Internet.

Thousands of South California homes are still in danger from the inferno, and a winery owned by media mogul Rupert Murdoch is one of many buildings that have already suffered heavy damage.
