‘We’re Trying to Stay in Factland’: Fox News’ MacCallum Spars With Panelist in Heated Trump Debate

Things got heated during a discussion about the Russia probe on Thursday’s edition of The Story.

Host Martha MacCallum and guest Emily Tisch Sussman from the progressive Center For American Progress Action Fund got into it over Tisch Sussman’s view that the Trump administration has been less than forthcoming in the matter.

“What we do know is that he has tried to derail any attempt to look into any connections between his campaign and the Russia investigation,” Tisch Sussman said. “His spokespeople have not been truthful about the fact that he disclosed confidential information to the Russians. At every step of the way, there’s nothing transparent about this President.”

MacCallum interrupted, and things got heated quickly from there.

“I’m looking for facts,” MacCallum said. “We’re trying to stay in factland.”

“We would love facts,” Tisch Sussman said.

“Because there’s a lot of things that are outside factland,” MacCallum said. “We know that he has every right to say whatever he wants to the Russians. He has total ability to declassify if he decided to do so. And I didn’t hear any facts in what you just said.”
