Melania Trump Will Not Be Joining POTUS on Upcoming Trips to Canada, Singapore

First Lady Melania Trump will not be joining President Donald Trump at upcoming summits in Canada and Singapore.

According to ABC News, which broke the story on Sunday, the first lady will not be traveling “to the G7 summit in Quebec and the highly anticipated summit between the United States and North Korea in Singapore.”

The First Lady’s spokesperson, which spoke to ABC News, declined to give a reason for her absence.

Melania Trump has not been seen publicly since May 10, just days before she was hospitalized for kidney surgery.

Her extended absence has prompted both speculation and concern about where the first lady may be as well as a somewhat creepy Jim Carrey painting.

On May 30th, the first lady appeared to address the concerns about her whereabouts in a tweet, writing, “I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing. Rest assured, I’m here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!”

However, the tweet only fueled the flames when some speculated it was written by President Trump, or one of his handlers, instead.

Although Melania Trump is not traveling with the president abroad, the White House is planning to host a Ramadan dinner on Wednesday, according to reports.

That dinner is traditionally hosted by both the president and the first lady, offering a possible opportunity for the seemingly missing in action first lady to make an appearance and finally put the #whereisMelania hashtag to rest.

UPDATE: Melania Trump is now set to attend a White House event that is closed to the press on Monday.
