Trump Says Baby Blimp Makes Him Feel ‘Unwelcome’ in London
President Donald Trump says he used to like London a lot. Yet, now that protesters are planning to fly a great big diapered Baby Trump blimp, he doesn’t feel welcome anymore.
Speaking to The Sun, Trump had this to say about London’s hospitality during his most recent visit to the UK: “I guess when they put out blimps to make me feel unwelcome, no reason for me to go to London.”
He added: “I used to love London as a city –I haven’t been there in a long time. But when they make you feel unwelcome, why would I stay there?”
His comments are a departure from his remarks earlier in the day when he insisted, “I think they like me a lot in the U.K” although he still insisted even after his Baby blimp lament that real Brits “love the President.”
Protesters are set to fly the Baby Trump blimp over Parliament on Friday when Trump will not be in town.
However, even if POTUS won’t have eyes on the blimp while in England, he may not be able to avoid the baby blimp for long. Protesters also have plans to follow Trump to Scotland where they plan to fly the blimp near Turnberry while Trump is in town.
