Trump Says ‘Fake News Media’ is ‘DANGEROUS’ … But Might Be Helping Confuse Iran!

President Donald Trump tweeted today that while “the media is hurting our country,” it is also helpful because supposedly “made up” stories help confuse Iran about America’s plans in the region.

“The Fake News Media is hurting our Country with its fraudulent and highly inaccurate coverage of Iran,” he wrote today. “It is scattershot, poorly sourced (made up), and DANGEROUS.”

“At least Iran doesn’t know what to think, which at this point may very well be a good thing!” he added.

Trump was likely referencing a New York Times story from earlier this week that reported on an administration plan to send 120,000 troops to handle Iran, which the White House denied.

“I think it’s fake news, OK? Now, would I do that?” Trump told reporters after being asked about the report. “We have not planned for that. Hopefully, we’re not going to have to plan for that. And if we did that, we’d send a hell of a lot more troops than that.”
