Bill Maher Goes Off on ‘Social Justice Warriors’: They Just ‘Want to B*tch’

On Friday, HBO’s Bill Maher went off on progressives, social justice warriors and cultural appropriation grievances.

“There is a cancer on progressivism,” Maher said during the panel discussion.

He then noted he doesn’t think the social justice warriors are really interested in social justice.

“I don’t think they are interested in justice. I don’t think they are interested in truth. I think they are interested in cliques,” he continued on.

His comments drew a smattering of applause.

Continuing on, Maher further claimed cultural appropriation was just “made up” and that “no one is hurt” by it.

At one point during the discussion,  Noah Rothman of Commentary gave the example of two white women who went down to Mexico and got recipes and brought them back to Portland.

Rothman then said their “very success” was such a problem for the social justice warriors that they were “hounded out of business.”

“These people just want to bitch,” Maher then said in reaction to the news the women were forced out of business.
