CNN’s Van Jones: ‘Zero Difference’ Between Laura Ingraham’s Demographics Talk and Neo-Nazi’s Message
CNN’s Van Jones opened up his show on Saturday talking about white nationalism in America and comparing the recent controversial remarks made by Fox News host Laura Ingraham to an avowed neo-Nazi.
During the monologue, Jones rolled tape of a proud neo-Nazi recently interviewed by CNN.
“This guy actually openly wears swastikas on his shirt and he says America is his country because he’s white,” Jones said, before noting that not all of his neighbors support the swastika-wearing man.
He then pointed out such extreme messaging was not limited to white nationalists.
“Those same themes that were once considered so extreme are now becoming mainstream, at least in conservative media,” Jones lamented before rolling a clip of Ingraham’s controversial remarks about demographics.
Then, after playing the clip, he noted that what the Fox host said and what the neo-Nazi said was not, according to him, all that different.
“I see zero difference between what Laura Ingraham is saying on mainstream cable and what the Nazi was saying in front of his house,” Jones said. “Literally, it’s the same message.”
He added: “And it is wrong.”
