Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke with MSNBC’s Joy Reid at tonight’s town hall about a wide range of topics, including the Mueller probe and Russia.
At one point Reid asked Pelosi about President Donald Trump‘s relationship with Vladimir Putin.
“I think that the President’s relationship with thugs all over the world is appalling,” Pelosi responded. “Vladimir Putin, really? Really? I think it’s dangerous.”
She then said one of the “most frightening” things that’a happened has been the departure of Defense Secretary James Mattis.
“Now, Mattis resigned,” Pelosi said, “and the President likes to say he fired him. But the fact is Mattis isn’t there. And the President still is.”
She also talked about impeachment and urged caution, saying that right now what’s “shameful” and “shocking” is that “Republicans in the Congress of the United States will not hold him accountable for anything.”
