Rand Paul Warns: I’m Asking President Trump to Revoke John Brennan’s Security Clearance
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has taken his bashing of former CIA Director John Brennan to the next level, tweeting that he’d like President Donald Trump to revoke Brennan’s security clearance.
Today I will meet with the President and I will ask him to revoke John Brennan’s security clearance!

The move by Paul comes after Brennan was recently brought onto NBC as the network’s Senior National Security and Intelligence Analyst. Last week, the senator spoke with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson about the matter, and the two agreed that it was inappropriate for a former government operative with high security clearance to be a pundit on national television.
To Carlson, Brennan is “an irresponsible partisan combatant” who “threatened the president on Twitter.”
“I think it’s completely crazy and I think the idea that he could be passing secrets to the media, yeah, that’s alarming,” Paul said on the program, saying he would follow up with the president.
Follow up he did on the commander-in-chief’s favorite social media platform, where he announced that he’ll be meeting with the president in person about Brennan.
What’ll happen next? Well, if it doesn’t involve Brennan immediately losing security clearance because he’s part of the “fake news,” I’ll eat my hat.
