Saturday Night Live took on the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation in their cold open.
In a scene set in a celebrating GOP locker room post-confirmation, SNL’s Dana Bash, as played by Heidi Gardner, interviewed the GOP senators amid the boozy party atmosphere.
“Quite the display Dana,” SNL’s Don Lemon, played by Kenan Thompson, said.
“That’s right Don, there are a lot of pacemakers being put to the test tonight,” SNL’s Bash replied.
Kate McKinnon reprised her role as Sen. Lindsey Graham.
“How amazing is this? We made a lot of women real worried today, but I’m not getting pregnant, so I don’t care,” McKinnon as Graham said.
Sen. Susan Collins, played by Cecily Strong, also made an appearance, telling the CNN reporter, “Oh please, the last thing I wanted was to make this about me…That’s why I told everyone to tune in at 3 pm, so I could tell all my female supporters, psyche!”
“That’s our girl, our one girl!” a Senator shouted from behind.
In a glimpse at the other side, the scene cuts to a far more sober Sen. Chuck Schumer, as played by Alex Moffat with a towel slung across his shoulder. His interview was interrupted by SNL’s Sen. Joe Manchin punching him in the groin.
