Trump Replies To Reporter Asking If He Will Release His Medical Records By Insulting Kamala Harris: ‘She Wasn’t Born Smart’
Former President Donald Trump was asked by a reporter in Michigan on Friday if he would release his full medical records before next month’s election. Trump replied by insulting the intelligence of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump touched down in the state ahead of a pair of Friday night campaign events when he stopped to speak with the media in Detroit.
The former president and 2024 Republican Party nominee said he intended to speak to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before he insulted Harris.
Trump was asked by a reporter, “Mr. President, will you release your health records?”
He replied, “Yeah. My health records, I’ve done five exams over the last four years. You’ve got them all. Obviously, I’m in the middle of a very big and very contentious fight, we’re leading.”
When the reporter attempted to ask Trump a follow-up question, he cut her off and said, “I’ve given my health exams, I’ve also done cognitive tests twice and I’ve aced them, meaning a perfect score. I want to see her do a cognitive test because she couldn’t ace it because she wasn’t born smart. All right. Thank you.”
Trump vowed in August to release a comprehensive medical report but had yet to do so as of Friday.
The former president’s insult of Harris came after she questioned his health and stamina at a campaign rally in Grand Rapids.
“He is ducking debates and canceling interviews,” the vice president said while campaigning in the battleground state. “His own campaign team recently said it’s because of exhaustion. If you’re exhausted on the campaign trail, it raises real questions about whether you are fit for the toughest job in the world.”
Harris released a comprehensive medical report last week in which her physician declared her fit to serve. Trump’s campaign responded to the medical report by claiming Harris was not up to the job.
