WATCH: Rally Pastor Prays for God to Protect Trump from ‘Jungle Journalism’

During a rally in Ohio on Saturday, a local pastor stood in front of the pro-Trump crowd and prayed for President Donald Trump to be protected from “jungle journalism.”

Pastor Gary Click said during his invocation: “Tonight, I pray that You will protect our President and his family with a shield of faith, Lord, that shield of faith against the fiery darts of the wicked one, Lord, against that jungle journalism [that] extorts the truth and distorts honesty and integrity every single day [and] gets in his face with lies and mistruths and innuendos.”

He also called for God to protect Trump from those “poisonous asps” that lurk in the swamp of politics.

During the rally, Trump also took multiple swipes at the media, at one point smearing MSNBC as “disgusting” and “corrupt” and during another point in his freewheeling rally, railing against the media in a riff that ended with the crowd chanting “CNN sucks.”
