Not at all, it’s the fact that early in 2006, NBC Universal (owned by GE!) purchased a majority stake in MSNBC, and the cable channel moved far left, and then kept moving further left after that. Matthews had to change, or lose Hardball. The difference is not really in Beck, it is in Matthews. I can recall old shows (I watched Hardball years ago) where he excoriated Democrats when it was warranted, just as he did Republicans. Anyone who thinks Arianna Huffington is liberal should read Ed Rollins’ book, Bare Knuckles and Back Rooms. He discusses Mrs. Michael Huffington, who he worked for in the 1994 California Senate race against Diane Feinstein, at length. I believe he refers to her as a “willy sorceress”–and that’s the nicest thing he has to say. The beauty of it is that the book was written long before Arianna’s conversion to the Left, so Rollins had no reason to pile on. He thought still was still a Republican and potential employer when he wrote the book.

Bayh is genuinely a good guy, he’s been my Governor as well as my Senator and done a fine job as both. Way back in the day, my spouse and I had lunch with Matthews [she was a Senate Legislative Asst. and I was a public relations dude & he still worked for O'Neill] and Chris was very polite and even witty. He has had a brain transplant to widen the size of his head, which was so big that he was actually thinking of running for the Senate in PA and had a book ghosted in his name about Jefferson—Matthews is not very literate and his ego was much greater than his political skills.

I got a huge kick when he asked who “ghosted” Palin’s recent book, as I knew from friends that he himself knew more about that subject than his listeners suspected. He did have a column in the ultra-left goof-rag San Fran Chronicle a while back, but writing tires what’s left of his brain, now given over to fantasies conducive to staying in synch with double-digit IQ types like Olberboyy and O’Donnell, not to forget the tomboy commentator from 9-10PM.

Since MessNBC went hard left, this dude lost his moral compass and is now iron filings in the dumbass world of NBC—he’s still trying for a gig on SNL, but not even Olberboyy or Maddow can make that grade.

For months Beck rages out about “Crime Inc.” without ever mentioning one law that was supposedly broken. Still, his minions ate that bulls$%t up. I saw flowcharts online showing all of the “connection.” The whole theory was complete nonsense, but to Beck’s flock, it was all key information for understanding the “corruption” of the Administration…even though no laws were broken.
