Commitment: Sen. John Kerry Shows Up At Hockey Event With Black Eyes And Broken Nose

VIDEO

Sen. John Kerry, representing the state of Massachusetts, showed up at an event honoring the Stanley Cup-winning Boston Bruins on Monday sporting two black eyes and a swollen nose. Appropriately, Kerry suffered the injuries while playing the sport being honored:

“He’s totally fine,” Kerry spokeswoman Whitney Smith told ABC News, “Very ironically he busted his nose recently playing ice hockey, so the Bruins can certainly relate.”

Smith wouldn’t comment on who hit Kerry with a stick across the face (in a game with friends and family over the holidays), but she did snarkily tell The Boston Globe that, “he must feel like Mitt Romney after South Carolina.”

Watch video of a bruised Kerry below, courtesy of ABC:

You also don’t take the Tiffany’s credit card away from your third wife while asking if she’ll participate in a threesome. Don’t believe me? Just ask Newton The Historian.

Euch. John Kerry. Still can’t believe how badly we squandered a perfectly winnable 04 Election.

“Sen. John Kerry Shows Up At Hockey Event With Black Eyes And Broken Nose”

…the TRUTH about those bruises: they are a result of the debate between “I was for it before I was against it” Kerry and Gingrich on socialist-extremism vs. solid American conservatism. To make it a fair debate, gingrich used only 1/10 of his brain.

…wait til you see what OBOZO looks like after his debate with gingrich !!!!!!

You may want to see the only REAL debate between Kerry and Gingrich. The general consensus was that Kerry won – pulling Newt to positions on climate change that sounded close to Kerry’s positions. http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/197538-1 has the video. In fact, if you listen closely at the end when Gingrich is speaking to his admirers, he states that he he debated “because Kerry was a smart guy.”

On the environment, the fact that Gingrich taught a course on the environment at a second rate college that refused to give him tenure did not make him more knowledgeable on policy or even the science than Senator Kerry. No matter how often Newt gets the media to parrot that he is a great debater, the fact is that he is not in Kerry’s class. There was a reason that Yale won every debate for 4 years when Kerry was there – he was and is very very good.

Maybe Fox News and your own eyes can convince you. http://www.foxnews.com/video-search/m/21964007/lawmakers_vs_lobbyists.htm

The 2004 candidate who had a history of being a drunk was Bush – Kerry was never said to have either a drug or alcohol problem. In addition, you may remember that in 2004, Kerry was fit enough to wind surf – I doubt :stumbling describes him.

It amazes me that the right insists on changing facts when they deviate from their preconceived ideas. I liked Kerry because he is a liberal, environmentalist, international statesman. It would have been logical if you rightwingers disliked him for that. The funny thing is that what you hate most are the very things that you admire – if the person were Republican. I can imagine that you and Karl Rove would have loved having a candidate who was given the Silver Star and the Bronze Star, who had saved the life of a Senator from the opposite party when he was choking, was a pilot, a hunter and had played four sports – varsity or junior varsity – in college.

2004, unfortunately was never “perfectly winnable”. Recently, the approval numbers for incumbent Presidents were written in a table. In November and December of 2003, Bush had higher approval numbers than any other incumbent with the exception of Eisenhower.

In fact, the percent of the vote that Bush ended up getting was lower than the percent that labeled him “favorable”. Kerry ran an excellent campaign – against a media that condoned a character assassination, and with a wing of the Democratic party dragging their feet – preferring to nominate Clinton and win in 2008.

There was no ABK in 2004. Compare his path to the nomination to that of almost any non-VP or P and you will see that he very easily gained momentum and won all but 4 states – and 2 of those were essentially after the fact favorite son wins in VT and NC.

Compare that to the ABR theme that has been the Republican race for almost a year – even as non Mitt after non Mitt implodes. It is telling that his competition now is a man with, not one, but two rather despicable stories of cheating on his wife, then leaving her when she was ill  AND being thrown out of the Speaker position by his own party over ethics violations. Now THAT is evidence of an Anybody but Romney movement.  The interesting thing is that it might be the first AB ( ) movement that works – as people never seem to actually line up behind one alternative.

Can you cut Yacht Boy some slack? He is going to pay the taxes on his boat someday!!  And if you don’t cut him some slack, he will throw another set of his Vietnam medals at you!!

Maybe it was some CIA operative that busted his nose???

    - Former John Kerry Staffer Arrested For Disclosing Identities of CIA Operatives Who Interrogated Top Al-Qaeda Leaders To The Media:

The Justice Department charged that John Kiriakou, 47,
who worked as a CIA officer from 1990 to 2004, revealed the information
to journalists and that one reporter passed some of the secrets onto
attorneys representing prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.

    Buried in the 12th graph:

Kiriakou worked for Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) as a Senate
Foreign Relations Committee investigator from March 2009 to April 2011,
    according to Senate records.
