Lady Gaga Trumps McChrystal Story on RollingStone.com

The Internet is buzzing today with news that President Obama has called on General Stanley McChrystal to head to Washington and explain himself regarding an interview to Rolling Stone in which he harshly criticized how Obama has handled the War in Afghanistan. However, readers looking to take a peek at the story that started all the kerfuffle have to dig way past a photo of Lady Gaga and her locked-and-loaded brassiere to find it.

The story is still active (as evidenced by the link above), but can only within the last few minutes be accessed from the main page – and it’s not even listed under the politics category. It’s safe to say that Rolling Stone is not just a music publication – it’s about culture and politics as much as it’s about concert previews and album reviews. So why, when this story could draw countless numbers of visitors to the site, has the mag been slow to prominently display the article?

While the story highlights the strong political writing of the magazine, the poor web promotion highlights their lack of online presence.
