Mitt Romney Officially Announces His Candidacy: ‘This Country We Love is in Peril’

video

To no one’s surprise, Mitt Romney officially announced his candidacy today in his run for the GOP nomination for the White House. Also unsurprising? The degree to which Romney feels the United States has suffered of late (“this country is in peril!”), and to whom should we all place the blame. “Barack Obama has failed America,” Romney decried, adding “when he took office, the economy was in recession, and he made it worse, he made it last longer.”

Odd that there is no mention of the economic meltdown that occurred just before the 2008 election? Probably not.

The setting was nearly perfect: an American flag in the background gently blown by pure and American gusts of wind. The rhetoric? Turns out that Romney believes in America! Who knew?

GOP establishment is so happy… big deal. If Mitt wins the nomination I’ll vote for him but I won’t campaign or donate for him. I’ll save my money for my State elections instead.

Good , Mitt . All the candidates must take it to Obama like that .

The attacks on Romney begin in earnest today , in between the Palin and Bachmann assaults .

The Dems have the media on their side . The Reps have the people . And the truth .

Anyone watching Nancy Skinner as a guest on Fox rite now? She stutters almost as good as Obama. Hard to watch. The best was when she tried to spit out that “Obama killed Bin Laden.” As soon as there is nothing else for Obama to run on, which will be immediately, this is what you’ll here. If there wasn’t so much at risk I would thank you libs for the entertainment.

  • http://www.snowspot.net Snowspot

I wonder when Republicans will realize that Americans actually DONT like when people attack the president… it’s not the best platform to run on…. and it’s really kinda sad that his opening remarks when announcing his presidency are just the same kind of crap people always say about Obama. Why don’t you tell me what you’re going to do Mitt… and also give me specifics on what’s so bad in our country because of Barack.

I’m tired of hearing generalizations about how bad our president is, I’d like to see some actual facts and figures.

Sorry, I had to repair my previous links. Now, look at them and tell me again how anyone in the GOP can beat Obama? My previous link on Mittens spells doom for him. Once the public is educated on just how AWFUL his record on jobs was it will be the final nail in his coffin!

Here’s another hilarious exchange from yesterday’s meeting with GOP House members at the Whitehouse from Jake Tapper. Another bitch slap courtesy of President Obama. Too bad this wasn’t televised. Cantor was whinning like the rest of the GOP about the way Ryan’s Medicare plan is being described:

According to Tapper, Cantor also criticized Democrats’ “Medi-scare” attacks, saying that the charges that the GOP is taking medicine from grandma to pad the pockets of the rich isn’t helpful.

Oh, but they are doing exactly that, but that’s beside the point. The President replied:

“The president added that he is all for a reduction of demagoguery, an issue he understands since he is the ‘job killing, death panel, probably-wasn’t-born-here president.”

HA! Well Played Mr. President, Well Played! These clowns don’t stand a chance!

He should be releasing, and address head on, his Mormon beliefs. Some Mormons, including its founder, see America as imminently melting down. I want to know if Mitt has stores of food, or a bomb shelter. If he does, whatever he says about America’s future, is a fraud.

Is this article about Weiner’s crotch? Anyway, Steve 27 the first 2 comments by the President are bullshit and you know it. What you also can’t dispute is that the GOP was pushing this garbage and now are crying to the President about getting a taste of their own medicine. The Republicans are going to get their asses kicked again! Hold onto your butts!

Add that to the fact he is not a Christian, passed a health plan similar to Obama’s, once supported abortion, and you will see a person who has no business winning the Republican nomination.

I wonder when Mittens will find the “cajones” to stand up to the hillbilly word salad bar? She just released her latest blend of jibber jabber.

Speaking to reporters in Massachusetts before heading up north to the Granite State, Palin said:

“In my opinion, any mandate coming from government is not a good thing, so obviously … there will be more the explanation coming from former governor, Romney, on his support for government mandates,” Palin told reporters today.
When a reporter followed up that Romney has distinguished his state mandate from the federal one President Obama signed into law in 2010, Palin responded that even state mandates are problematic.

“He makes a good argument there that it does. States rights and authority and responsibility allowed in our states makes more sense than a big centralized government telling us what to do,” she said.

“However, even on a state level and even a local level, mandates coming from a governing body, it’s tough for a lot of us independent Americans to accept, because we have great faith in the private sectors and our own families … and our own businessmen and women making decisions for ourselves. Not any level of government telling us what to do.”

Wha? On the plus side, those of you who currently have car insurance can now drop it? By the way, that “private sector” she spakes so glowingly of has us ranked what, 24th or 25th?

Romney doesn’t stand a chance. And I’m not sure I want him to. I like his policies but he’s going to get shredded by the MSM for being a Mormon. I personally don’t have a problem with Mormons. I think the Book of Mormon is complete nonsense but I don’t mind that he believes it. It’s a huge club that the MSM is going to beat him with if it looks like he’s going to win the nomination. He’s going to have to defend every crazy thing that is in that book. He shouldn’t have to but he will be forced to if it looks like he’s going to get the nod.

Yes, exactly, lack of substance. ZERO substance. Just because your mad and say “stupid ass” doesn’t mean your right. Thats all you have said and as even you can see there is zero substance in “stupid ass.”

About a few months ago was Obamas best jobless rates, even that was higher then he said it would be and it’s since, as of like yesterday/today, gone up again to 9%. Everyone, except you apparently, see’s this is bad. SCHMUCK!

What possibly was Cantor supposed to pass and what the hell has Obama done other then throw money that we dont have at problems? On jobs he’s a killer cause no one will get new ones with his doubling down on Bush’s mistakes and on healthcare he’s just going to kick the can down the road.

So just wtf are you talking about? Nothing! As usual. Call me “stupid ass” and call the repubs cry babies then move along to another topic cause your case has been shredded and your fan club desolved.

I live in Mass. Same day care is available in every city. Getting a personal Physician may take up to three months, but care is provided during the interim.
No one mentions that “the profession” limits the number of medical schools and the number of residencies, thereby rationing the number of doctors and controlling the marketplace.

And I didn’t say they need a bailout, i’m predicting they’re going to be needing one in the future.
