New York, I Love You (And Always Have): Top Ten New York Movie Moments
9. Rear Window
Lest we forget the classics! Actually there are far, far, far, too many of those to even begin to list; one might argue Hollywood made New York and was made by New York in equal measure. So here are two particular favorites. Hitchcock’s Rear Window may not be the best Hitchcock film (though it’s close!) but it is maybe the best depiction of both the intimately close living quarters that exist in New York AND the utter oppressiveness of summer in the city. Also, James Stewart and Grace Kelly. That is all.
10. Breakfast At Tiffany’s
Does this need an introduction? Probably not. But here are two clips for good measure.

Or my favorite(can’t find a clip)
The street fair scene from “You’ve Got Mail” Or anything from “You’ve Got Mail.”
I feel like there’s a whole segment of “gritty new york” clips that are missing from this pantheon – of course I can’t think of any now. Maybe “Pieces of April” about an awkward LES Thanksgiving?
Love them all. And, since I’m a Brooklyn gal, I have to add Sophie’s Choice and that fabulous house in Ditmas Park. (Trailer) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlcH-m5l0g4
Love this
How could King Kong climbing the Empire State building with Fay Ray not be on this list? A huge oversight.
What about “Miracle on 34th Street”?!! You have “Elf” but not this classic???
Also, what about Ghostbusters?!!! It was all New York, and more visibly and identifiably New York than most of the movies listed — and it’s also better than a half the movies mentioned! It’s got down town, uptown and everything in between. Come on, the Staypuffed marshmallow man rampaging through the streets of New York and the exploding covering the street with marshmallow?! Seriously. Your list is sadly lacking.
New York I Love You is full of love and power. Not for everybody, however, but is a beautiful movie.
Awkward: Geraldo And Bret Baier Take Different Sides On Health Care

There was an extremely interesting moment between Geraldo Rivera and Bret Baier on Fox News last night. In what seemed to be the first on-air interaction between the two since he criticized Baier for interrupting President Obama last week, Geraldo appeared to take a decidedly optimistic tone on the historic health care vote, asking Baier to at least consider the possibility that it won't be a disaster for America.
Armed With Record Ratings, Fox News Has New Pitch To Advertisers
We've written a lot about FNC's record ratings - ratings that have the news network looking to knock off cable competitors outside of the news world. So how does this translate to advertisers? It's all part of FNC's new pitch.
