Obama To The Moon: Been There, Done That
I guess this is what happens when you come of age in the post-space travel era: going to the moon is just not that exciting! Here is part of President Obama’s speech today at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida announcing his new space exploration plan.
I understand that some believe that we should return to the surface of the moon first, as previously planned, but I just have to say pretty bluntly here, we’ve been there before! There’s a lot more of space to explore and a lot more to learn when we do.
I think that’s called telling it like it is. If nothing else, Obama has pretty much made clear since the get-go that he doesn’t have much patience for over-wrought nostalgia. Next stop Mars? Video below.
