Palin Says Her ‘Exclusivity’ With Fox Precludes Her From Giving Interviews

Requests to interview Palin for this article, specifically about her experiences in the 2008 campaign, were turned down. Her former communications aide Meghan Stapleton explained that “with her Fox exclusivity, we are denying requests for articles and stories right now.”

Andrew Sullivan plucked this juicy detail out of this month’s American Spectator article titled The Problem With Palin. Predictably, this small disclosure is quite close to making Sullivan’s head explode.

This isn’t new news, of course. Back in February it was announced that Palin was losing Stapleton, her stalwart media spokesperson with no plans to replace. At the time the Palin family said they were “comfortable speaking in their own voice” which in the subsequent weeks has primarily been her Facebook page. Interesting however to see Fox make an entry as an excuse for avoiding doing direct interviews….outside of Fox.

Are you mentally handicapped? YOU get real. She is the epitome interview ducker! Obama had a presser just a couple weeks ago after the nuclear talks, not to mention the dozens of interviews he has given this year alone including that to Brett B. of Fox News. Palin is a coward because she knows her lofty facebook rhetoric and incoherent ramblings will be defused with real questions that actually require…..THOUGHT to respond. Obama may obfuscate and filibuster on some pointed questions, but at least he does interviews even with hostile interviewers. The former half term governor of Alaska can not say the same.
