Ted Cruz Jokes Obama Is ‘World’s Most Powerful Communist’

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz joked at the Value Voters Summit that President Barack Obama was “the world’s most powerful communist.”

The set-up of the joke was simple enough. Cruz noted that Obama was meeting up with Chinese President Xi Jingping Friday. “Today, the President of China, President Xi is in town,” he said. “Media all across the world are reporting on this historic meeting between the world’s most powerful communist… and the president of China.”

The joke got a huge laugh and round of applause from the crowd.
