No, I think the reason people are surprised that Wyclef likes Palin is because we thought he was a thoughful person.  Nothing to do with the color of his skin.  He’s intelligent and witty and has made some beautiful music.  He’s god a big heart and he actually cares about people.  Even as a politician he approached to office out of love and respect for people, not as attempt to grab power and the spotlight.  Wyclef inspires people and makes them want to work hard and achieve their goals.  Palin is all about Palin.  I won’t say that she’s not savvy and calculating.  She is.  But with her it’s all about Sarah.  That’s why we find it so difficult to believe that he “likes” her.  Perhaps he, like myself, finds her fascinating.  Very different from liking someone.
