C-SPAN Caller: Helen Thomas’ Comments Were “Spot On”

C-SPAN seems to be the outlet of choice for callers who want to share their extreme opinions with the rest of the world. This morning, a caller stated he agreed with Helen Thomas, whose controversial remarks about Jews and Palestine last week caused her to announce her retirement today.The caller said Thomas’ comments were “spot on.” Thomas has been under fire since she suggested Jews should leave Israel and “go home” to Germany and Poland.

The caller also said the Jews were “immigrants coming from Europe who were kicked out mainly because of diseases and homosexuality that were spreading.” He went on to say that the Holocaust occurred because Germany wanted Jews out of their country, but “nobody would take them” because they were spreading disease through prostitution and homosexuality.

While this seems ridiculous, it is not the first time viewers have aired such grievances on C-SPAN, with host Bill Scanlan fielding the calls each time.

This is so damn depressing. I think it’s the trilateral commission headed by Mahmoud Am-a-psychopath, Helen Thomas, and this caller. Maybe since Helen Thomas is the even-wickeder great-great-great-great grandmother of The Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz, this caller in her great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandson. I don’t even know what I’m talking about.

A most interesting commentary from Across the Pond dealing with rightist American’s propensity to gang up like a pack of dogs to attack the target du jour. Spot on, I’d say.

Of course not in that sense. A simple Mass followed by the dedication of a new combination Via Dolorosa/Stations of the Cross and bird sanctuary at the Parish. It really is lovely. All natural materials found in this area. Limestone and cedar, and all indigenous plants to withstand the Texas heat. We even have a small cavern in which we were able to construct a Marian altar. All in the very best of taste. I wish you and Blower could come. I think it will be powerful.
