Did Bob Beckel Bet Eric Bolling $10,000 That Obama Could Beat Either Romney Or Gingrich?

video

Did we hear that correctly? Did Bob Beckel just bet Eric Bolling $10,000 that President Obama could beat either Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich in 2012? And did Bolling accept?

Sure, Bolling’s acceptance didn’t sound completely serious and the guys didn’t even shake on it or anything, but, hey, you never know. This could have been real. If that’s the case, I’m sure Beckel and Bolling would want someone to save this clip for posterity. And, as we all know, Mediaite is always here to help.

So, Eric, Bob, if either of you want to come back and find this clip a year from now, we’ll keep it safe for you. You’re welcome in advance.

It’s been a busy week in the Farian household.  It’s good to see I’m not missing much…

    Hope you’re all well :-)

  • Jonathan Cantor

How much do you think he weighs? Not as a joke, I’m curious what people think.

YES, it was a bet. It was issued by Beckel and accepted by Bolling. It takes two to make a bet and two to take down a bet.

    I would guess 350.

Or, as much as Kimberly, Andrea and Dana combined. Plus a couple of bricks.

You’re gonna lose your shirt, Beckel.  But you can keep the suspenders.

Bolling would never take the bet, he has no chance of winning… and he knows it!!

Unfortunately, Bob is about to get paid.

Can I get a piece of that action?  Obama is a sure thing against the clowns on the right.

Anyone who thinks Obama 2.0 is a sure thing had better stay away from Vegas and the track. :OP

Yea, because Newt Gingrich, a man that resigned in disgrace from Congress, and Mitt Romney, the ultimate flip flopper, are much better candidates.  Sure.

In all seriousness, things are not looking good for the Republicans. They don’t have a candidate nor any viable ideas for the economy except lower taxes for the uber rich and cut back on basic services. Not a winning formula, ever. Also, the moral values of the rightwing politicians, their financial backers and the lackeys who blindly follow them are somewhat lacking or they could never ever tolerate the utter nonsense we’re hearing from these candidates as they keep trying to win their race to the bottom. Yes, the Democrats are nothing to brag about but there are still a few who have decent core values and, suprisingly there are  at least a dozen Democrats asides from Obama who have the gravitas to be president while there’s not one Republican including the venerated Ron Paul, who believes in no government, who could take on the job of dealing with a very complex and dangerous world situation. The money is on Obama and I’m sure it will be reflected in the official odds.

Not near as much as Chris Christie

Fortunately for America, and the World, Bob is about to be paid.

I’m sure you are aware that Gingrich resigned and ALL of the baseless charges against him were thrown out and the one that he was charged with and he paid the fine was shown to be wrong!  In other words – you’ve got to come up with a better talking point.

I realize that was in fine print and not screamed out your t.v. set – but it’s true.

Gingrich was cleared of any wrong doing.

take away 100 from your guess and I think it’s about right.

Good point bill….we’ve seen nothing but good fortune since Obama has been elected, so it is only obvious that that all will continue. (unemployment rate, national debt, food stamp increas., o joy!) And as long as Bush is still alive, we’ll just keep toting the party line that “we’re picking up his mess”

You Sure Can!….head over to Intrade.com and put your money where your mouth is.

Disgrace has never been an issue for you liberals in the past…why is it an issue now?

  • WiddleBabyDanielson

    And you as well.

Come on seek you know better than that. He resigned in disgrace. What he did right or wrong is not the point. He knew a shit storm was coming and got the hell out. He was isolated within in his own party, they wanted him gone. Once he was gone the charges were forgotten to save headaches. What other speaker in history resigned like this? If he was innocent he wouldn’t have left, not with his ego. And he did pay a 300,000 dollar fine, why did he do that? The guy is a prime example of the typical washington beltway politician, that your side so despises yet now you are trying to rationalize him in your own mind because you hate Obama more.

  • Anonymous

OMFG – He paid $300,000 because you idiots told him he had to for breaking tax rules.  When the tax department at length studied the case – no rules broken.  He was cleared of ALL the charges!

So I know better than to find out the truth instead of going with the slime you guys attempted to smear him with????? Are you for real?

Remember what “you all” did to Palin?  God you smear every republican you can and then you start believing your freaking smears.  How f’d up are you?  ”I know better than that”????  You’re damn rights I know better than that.  I know what slime you guy turn into.

Watched you all systematically try to slime every republican as he rose in popularity in the polls.  Every single one.  It’s a f’d up disease with you all.

Pointing out crazy statements is not slimming, just reality.
And what did we all do to Joan of Anchorage?
She just kept talking in five minute, stream of non reality, here we go can’t stop talking so say something anything quick, sentences.
Who could consider voting for that hot mess?

Good luck with former Lego Head Model Gingrich, or The Mormotron 2000 in the generals.

  • Anonymous

Whats sad seek is you have no idea the shitstorm thats gonna hit Gingrich. You better hope Romney wins the nomination, because the democrats are gonna roast Newt on a spit. But you are walking around with blinders on.
