Ex-BFFs Jimmy Fallon And Stephen Colbert Duet On ‘Somewhere Out There’
Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert are going through somewhat of a messy break-up. After declaring themselves “Best Friends for Six Months,” they came to the sad realization this week that those six months had passed. Last night, Colbert appeared on Late Night after he and Fallon had a “falling out” on the Colbert Report that resulted in a fantastic duet of the romance classic “Somewhere Out There.”
Fallon was in a testy mood last night after his dispute with Colbert, more or less dismissing the audience after moping about being alone. He then launched into a Disney-style rendition of “Somewhere Out There,” which in turn led to Colbert appearing out of the darkness of the stage curtains and singing along, back to back, a tragic goodbye. After a rockin’ guitar solo and a misunderstanding involving Sbarro Pizza, the two parted ways once more, leaving poor Anderson Cooper to give finding himself a new BFF a second shot.
