MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Suggests Republican House May Impeach Obama

video

With the Republicans almost certain to take over the House of Representatives, some left-of-center opinion media outlets are gravely concerned about the future of their country. Case in point: MSNBC’s Ed Schultz, who used the occasion to ask the soon-to-be House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) if he would pledge to take impeachment of President Obama “off the table.” Of course, Mr. Boehner was not present for this comment, and Mr. Schultz was making news in his own inimitable way. But an interesting question was asked, nonetheless.

As we reported earlier last month, the most recent issue of The New Republic features an article by Senior Editor Jonathan Chait that suggested a Republican controlled House will most certainly try to impeach President Obama, regardless if the future offense merits such action or not.

Mr. Schultz must have had that article in mind when he made the following impassioned plea:

Four years ago, in the midst of an avalanche of criticism of the Bush administration, Nancy Pelosi took impeachment off the table. I want to ask Mr. Boehner tonight, are you going to take impeachment off the table? Or are we going to go down this road of divide, are we going to go down this road of investigations?

Let the GOP try. That is not why they won this night from the electorate.
It would be their death knell.

    Again.

  • Cancon2

Then he talked about Birthers and Rand Paul personally emploding the worlds economy. These clowns at MSNBC are actual lunitics. They took it off the table because there was no impeachment of the table. It was all bullshit. What exactly has Obama done that would warrant impeachment ( Does Ed know something?) and why would they take it off the table for the remainder of the term. If the One kills someone in the oval office, no impeachment? Huh?

The difference is that the Dems had put impeachment on the table by repeatedly accusing calling Bush a war criminal–and worst. Pelosi’s own Judiciary Committee Chairman (who has jurisdiction over articles of impeachment) had filed such articles and was talking about impeachment. The Republicans have to put it on the table before it needs to be taken off.

I was responding to Greg, he’s that mook that used to end every comment with “impeach Roberts”. I figure him for some first year law student at Evergreen State or some such place where communism is the norm. He likes to speak in legalese, and fancies himself as above his audience. In other words, an asshole. I compare him to the long hair douche in the bar in the movie “Good Will Hunting”, who reads a few things, and then parrots it in an attempt to impress. He’s never heard the old saying, If you condescend, and you’re wrong, you look like a real asshole. If you condescend, and you’re right, you’re a condescending asshole.

The liberals have nothing to talk about that is positive – whether they won or lost.

Ed Schultz is an idiot. I have met him my impression of him 15 years ago was just that I remember sitting at dinner listening to him . He is good at making you think he might know what he is talking about. I really thought he was 20 years behind the times. He must has done some real bull ——- in order to get his job. If I remember right he used to do the sports in Fargo ND, He went bird hunting one day, sends out this great hunting dog to do it’s job (flush out the birds) well this moron sees the grass move. He shot his dog and killed him. Da! where in hell did he think his dog would be, even possibly be, did he not consider the fact that was his dog in the grass. Fast Eddie…I think it’s time, for you to return to the used car lot. The sludge media outlets thought they had this one in the bag; and fortunately, a scant political wisdom prevailed. The snakes of wrath (in media), deserved this kick to their drooling scrotums. As did, the political parasites who occupied undeserved posts in government. However, at the end of the confetti euphoria, there is very much to be done, and it is the American people who have to tune in to their own vision of what makes this nation extraodinary. Now we must focus on corporations and their incessant greed, welfare recipients and their motivational deficiencies, freaks who generate primetime programs that assault our childrens innocence and religious doctrines across the board. The struggles ahead, will not be diminished by prayer and shallow rhetoric. The last time I was in a quagmire, it was my own initiative that saved me from the perils about. If you must believe in a god…believe you are he or she. Remain vigilant, for the many battles ahead (I’m not talking about Hollyweird’s frivilous and insulting trash), and raise our children in the tradition of courage and faith in self.
We MUST confront and neutalize, all those elements around the world, who want to undermine our greatness. Even with all of our flaws, we are still the beacon for many, who never tasted such great freedoms. Icons are mere mortals, who rise to prominence because they desire genuine and beneficial results from their actions, or they have to feed a starving ego. Be an icon that makes a difference.

Seems like Ed is on the “Rant” because he lost. Here is the scoop Ed, there are three sides to every story – his side, her side, and what really happened. What you don’t get, (or Chris Matthews either) is that we the people want to hold accountability to the government. Part of the definition of transparency is: you can see right through it……. Americans did on 11/2. We are tired of the smokescreens and voted for change.

Bachman may have said that supoenas for investigations would be forth coming, but, just because you think it is her priority doesn’t make it so. Maybe each media outlet does need to investigate rather than taking it for face value.
