Rachel Maddow Interprets Carl Paladino As 1990s Urban Street Art

New York Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino has an interesting track record. His name is mostly associated with the lewd emails he sent his coworkers, a physical assault on a New York Post reporter, and an obsession with opponent Andrew Cuomo‘s sex life. Many have given up trying to understand. Rachel Maddow refuses to rest until she finds the answer.

Maddow has tried before to understand Paladino through unorthodox terms. Last time she came to the conclusion that he was really Joaquin Phoenix. This time, she turned to 1990s street art, wondering whether Paladino intends to become the object of such art or if he’s just doing it all for the performance aspect of it. “None of this makes any sense,” she explains, and notes that, after all his attacks on Cuomo for his alleged affairs, Paladino has “inexplicably started denying that he had an affair… for the pure artistic and surreal joy of it all” (Paladino has long admitted that he fathered a child out of wedlock).

But certainly that is not enough proof that he is an art project. Maddow goes further, tying Paladino to the Church of the Subgenius, a “parody religion” based in 1990s street art.

Even though it may be odd politics Paladino had a good reason to get pissed off about reporters digging into his private life. That seems to be the politics of today.

When it involves spying on his 10 year old daughter I think any other response other than anger would have been unacceptable.

I’m not sure whether Paladino should attack Andrew Cuomo for having an affair. But Rachel Maddow is in no position to sneer at Paladino’s tactics after her shows about “Bart Stupak living in a brothel”, Christine O’Donnell’s views on masturbation, and all the other tawdry garbage she sifts through nightly on her pathetic excuse for a show.

On another matter: MEDIAITE, what the hell is wrong with you?
The best interview in a decade was last night as Greta Van Susteren demolished & humiliated Gloria Allred.
You have NO DECENT EXCUSE WHATSOEVER for not running this story.
Are you incompetent or in bed with Gloria?

It cracks me up when right wing blogs actually write about this Paladino POS like he has the proverbial snowball’s chance against Cuomo. “Lazio drops out. Now Paladino will surely win!” Then the comments are like, “Yeah! Carl is gonna clean up Albany! With a baseball bat!” Thank you, Maddow, for just putting this asshole’s comments out there in chronological order, because his supporters live in an alternate reality. The Republican party has made this loon their gubernatorial nominee… an admittedly racist, adulterous, corrupt pornographer. He belongs in a padded cell, not the governors mansion. It’s like the GOP looked at Alvin Greene and said, “YES! We’ll take one for NY, another for DE and one for KY, please.” If they actually approve of this behavior, and boy they sure hollered about Clinton, then why isn’t Alvin Greene beating Jim DeMint? Apparently, he’s super-conservative!

Paladino is everything the Repug mindset has prayedfor. All that the “party” embodies.
