I don’t really see how there is anything to be in an uproar about. Are there any non-FNC watchers out there who are still on the fence about them? High debt is the norm in so-called “European Socialiasm”? Yet, Germany and France, the Scandinavian countries, the Lowlands, have austerity programs pre-dating anything we have, and they seem to be faring well. Cameron, in the UK, who is following the Boehner/RNC borrow and spend model has sent the UK into a double dipper.

Bush started the TARP program, and much like the US Savings in Loans bailout, the loans are likely to either turn a small profit (over time), or to nearly break-even. So, in he end, history will judge that piece as being unpopular, but succeessful.

The Stimulus may have been successful, but the money was spent on ‘pet’ programs and concepts rather than projects likely to actually stimulate the economy. Since employment continued to climb, and there still not much results to show for the investment, that program will be judged unsuccessful. As the great Art Cashin said on CNBC. The stimulus is not stimulative. Huge mistake IMO.

I am not sure why this a big deal. Sammon sounds consistent with himself throughout. He expresses some doubt about the socialism claim about candidate Obama, but then affirms it in President Obama. So? How is this even news? Sammon is at Fox. What do you expect?

Here’s how this is news. Since the media loves nothing more than talking about itself, they now spend amazing amounts of time reporting on each others’ reporting. And since no story runs without a blaring headline, the media bias line is what is common. Both sides do this and both sides are just as guilty of it. Both sides have media experts and analysts to attack the other. And while they are all so busy ripping each other to pieces, real news remains ignored.

By the way, expressing outrage that Media Matters or Mediaite attack Fox is disingenuous given that Fox spends huge amounts of airtime attacking Media Matters, MSNBC, CNN, the New York Times, etc. In case nobody has been paying attention, the media is at war with itself over their own biases while denying they have biases. In other words, the entire stinking lot of them are hypocrites and liars. ALL of them. Fox is no worse or better than MSNBC

And ratings DO NOT equal quality. Never have, never will. The simple fact that more people watch does not make any ratings leader accurate or even close to unbiased. It just makes them popular. There is nothing wrong with that. Everyone has the right to voice such opinions, and organize boycotts. FNC, just like CNN and MSNBC, have the right to exist as private companies. They receive no federal money in the form of subsides unlike NPR. That’s why I have a problem with NPR.

But while we all argue about MSNBC or FNC and their claims/ falsehoods, why are we not outraged with our the US government spends our hard earned money – how they appear to waste the fruits of our labor. That is where the energy, in my opinion, should be directed at. It is the government, not a news channel, that has the power to take our property by force or threat of force. It is the government that invades and bombs other nations that pose no direct threat to the American shores and do it with they money the forcibly take from us. They don’t even have the common f&cking courtesy to pretend to abide by the US Constitution.
