Bill Maher Asks Dem Candidate Tim Ryan If He’s Going to Stand Up to the ‘Twitter Mob’

Bill Maher tonight told Congressman Tim Ryan, one of the many Democrats running for president, that he wants a Democratic candidate who will make him feel “not owned.”

Maher said on his show recently that he does feel “owned” by the right to a degree, and he told Ryan that he’s looking for a Democrat to counter that feeling.

“I’m looking for the Democrat,” he continued, “who’s going to stand up to the Twitter mob. Are you willing to do that, to stand up to the people who are ‘woke’?”

“Winning this election is going to be about who’s got the plan for the future of the economy,” Ryan said.

“You didn’t answer the question,” Maher said.

“Yes, of course I am,” Ryan said. “I’ve taken on Republicans, I’ve taken on Democrats, I am not afraid. I represent my people. And right now my people have not had a fair deal.”
