Joe Rogan Suggests Trump Do The Ultimate Troll Move — Become California Governor After Newsom: ‘Would Be F*cking Hilarious!’

Joe Rogan kicked off his podcast on Wednesday with a suggestion for President Donald Trump: run for governor of California after exiting the White House.

“It would be f*cking hilarious!” Rogan said on his top-ranked podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

Rogan, a moment earlier, said:

“What Donald Trump should do is, when he leaves the office, is run for the governor of California!”

The idea immediately cracked Rogan up, as well as his two guests, British comic Francis Foster and political commentator Konstantin Kasin, who co-host the Trigonometry podcast together.

Rogan continued: “Just take over California and fix it. It would be hilarious if he did. It would be one of the funniest thing of all time, if an 82-year-old man steps into the office of governor of California.”

He then broke into an impression of Trump: “‘We’re going to fix everything. You’ve got a problem with water, I know how to get the water!’ It would be f*cking hilarious.”

The podcaster and UFC commentator got onto the topic, shortly after starting the episode by talking about a friend who was “fleeing LA.” Rogan, who did the same thing and moved to Texas a few years ago, said it was understandable because “everybody went crazy.” He explained why he thought that was the case:

“There’s something that happened because of the pandemic, and the Black Lives Matter protests and the riots — whatever the temperature of society was, it’s like it hit ‘Societal Global Warming .’ Where it’s like, ‘It’s time to investigate Greenland. It’s time to move north, like, this is a bad climate now, this sucks!'”

Kasin agreed with Rogan, saying the Southern California weather makes it feel like “paradise” when you get off the plane. But politicians like Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) “fucked it up so bad that people will literally pack up and leave paradise,” he said.

Rogan added that, when he first moved to California in the ’90s, it was “much more moderate.” He said it was still left-leaning, but that politics was not a huge “focus” for everyone then. He said that, around the time of Barack Obama’s second term in office, he noticed a major shift in the vibe in California — and it only got worse from there.

His idea for Trump comes after Rogan slammed Newsom as a “bullsh*t artist” who “ruined” California earlier this month. Newsom responded by daring Rogan to have him on his podcast.

If Trump runs with Rogan’s suggestion, he will have to wait until 2030, since the next California gubernatorial election is in 2026.
