Bill Clinton’s Birthday Letter to Jeffrey Epstein Praising His ‘Childlike Curiosity’ Revealed by House Oversight Committee

A handwritten note addressed to Jeffrey Epstein by former President Bill Clinton has been released by Democrats sitting on the House Oversight Committee for the first time.
The letter, first reported on by the Wall Street Journal in July, was among the files obtained by the committee from executors of Epstein’s estate and was published on Monday.
Clinton’s message, written for Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003, reads: “It’s reassuring isn’t it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.”

A Clinton spokesperson said in 2019, while Epstein was still alive, that the former president knew “nothing about the terrible crimes” of the disgraced financier. The spox did, however, acknowledge the former president had taken four trips on Epstein’s private plane between 2002 and 2003, but stressed they were for Clinton Foundation work, accompanied by staff and Secret Service detail. He has denied visiting Epstein’s private island or homes.
Hillary Clinton is scheduled to testify before the committee on October 9, with her husband due to appear five days later.
The cache also included a crude drawing bearing President Donald Trump’s name, an image the president has “vehemently denied” producing.
Trump, meanwhile, has sued The Wall Street Journal for $10 billion over reporting that first linked him to the disputed drawing. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt insisted Monday that the image was proof that the president “did not sign it.”
