CNN’s Scott Jennings Claims Jimmy Kimmel Made Light of Tesla Fire Bombings to Intimidate Conservatives: ‘This Isn’t Comedy’

CNN’s Scott Jennings said Thursday that ABC host Jimmy Kimmel’s making light of attacks on Teslas Tuesday night was meant to intimidate conservatives into remaining silent.
Jennings also said comments Kimmel made about attacks on Teslas and Tesla dealerships equated to “marching orders” to the left for more violence.
Kimmel grabbed headlines Wednesday for his take on the backlash against Elon Musk over his role in the Trump administration slashing budgets, programs, and jobs.
The backlash has seen people lash out at the Tesla CEO by vandalizing the company’s cars and targeting its dealerships – in some cases with gunfire and arson.
In comments Tuesday, Kimmel told his live studio audience, “Our co-president Elon Musk sent a SpaceX vehicle to bring the astronauts back, and when they landed, he fired them immediately upon landing.”
“Tesla stock is way down, almost disastrously so,” Kimmel added before he deadpanned to his audience not to target vehicles made by Musk.
“Please don’t vandalize,” he said. “Don’t ever vandalize Tesla vehicles.”
Wednesday, Kimmel again commented on the violence against Tesla dealerships. After noting Musk had said during an interview that he did not understand the source of the anger against Tesla, Kimmel made note of the arson attacks and blasted the billionaire.
“Well, let me see if I can explain it for you, when you pull out a chainsaw to celebrate firing thousands of people, they get mad,” Kimmel said. “This poor guy. You do one, maybe two Nazi salutes and everybody gets all bent out of shape.”
Clips of Kimmel’s Wednesday monologue went viral on X. Thursday morning, Jennings shared his take.
“The message from the American Left to conservatives is unmistakable: silence yourselves, or we will do it for you,” Jennings commented on a clip of Wednesday’s monologue. “This isn’t comedy – these are marching orders.”
