Dan Sullivan Endorses Dan Sullivan to Defeat Dan Sullivan in All-Time Bonkers Senate Race

Yet another Dan Sullivan has come out of the woodwork in the bizarre Alaska Senate race — in which Dan Sullivan is taking on, among others, Dan Sullivan.

If you haven’t been following this wild campaign, Sen. Dan S. Sullivan (R-AK) is in a tight battle for reelection against a field of three other candidates led by Rep. Mary Peltola (D-AK). But one of the other candidates in the race is also named Dan Sullivan. The latter candidate, Dan J. Sullivan, has been accused of being a Democratic plant to try and siphon votes from Dan S. Sullivan so that Peltola can come out on top.

“ALASKA: Be careful, VOTE FOR THE REAL DAN SULLIVAN TODAY,” President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social Tuesday, ahead of the state’s primary. Trump added, “The Dumocrats know how good he is and have put up an imposter of the same name.”

Dan J. Sullivan survived the primary to qualify as one of the top four candidates to run in November’s general election — where he will face Dan S. Sullivan, Peltola, and one other candidate.

But a third Dan Sullivan has just entered the ring. In a post to Facebook (via Votehub), Dan A. Sullivan, the former mayor of Anchorage, has come out in support of Dan S. Sullivan — spurning Dan J. Sullivan in the process.

“As the OG Dan Sullivan, I urge Alaskans to vote for Senator Daniel S. Sullivan,” Dan A. wrote. “He’s been great for Alaska.”

Sullivan’s support of Sullivan over Sullivan is unquestionably a boon to Sullivan in a race where Sullivan is likely to need every vote to prevail. It would help if some of those votes even came from people not named Dan Sullivan.
