Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) has some explaining to do after he was apparently caught on camera Sunday going through someone else’s mail while campaigning door-to-door.
Fine, 52, was recorded in Ring camera footage obtained by TMZ on the porch of a home as he knocks on the door and waits.
In the roughly 30 second clip, which is timestamped just before 5 p.m. on Aug. 16, Fine appears to stare at the mailbox for a few moments before quickly flicking through its contents.
TMZ confirmed the man in the video was Fine, and noted “Rep. Fine isn’t shown removing, tampering with, or inserting anything … so there’s no apparent criminal issue here.”
Fine, who has been in office since April 2025, is seeking reelection. He is running against far-right candidate Daniel Bilzerian, who has come under fire for antisemitic attacks against Fine. Florida’s primary is today.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) condemned Bilzerian Sunday night in separate statements.
“The hateful campaign being run by Daniel Bilzerian in Florida is blatantly antisemitic and shocks the conscience,” Jeffries wrote. “People of goodwill regardless of political affiliation must reject his vile attacks on the Jewish community. This cannot and will not stand.”
“The vile attack ads against Congressman Randy Fine in Florida’s 6th District are disgusting and should be condemned by all political leaders on the Right and Left,” Johnson said. “Antisemitism and outward hatred of Jewish communities have no place in our politics or in America, and we will continue to call them out wherever they arise.”
Johnson continued, “On Tuesday, voters will reject the revolting rhetoric, and I am proud to endorse @VoteRandyFine as he works to continue delivering results for every family in #FL06.”
Bilzerian’s attacks on Fine have included antisemitic tropes and included messaging in support of Adolf Hitler. One AI-generated ad refers to Fine as a “fat Jew” and also asks, “Should we revisit that Austrian painter’s opinions?” alongside footage of Hitler.
