‘He Went Crazy!’ Trump Rips Judge In New Interview After Stunning Courtroom-Clearing Fracas

Former President Donald Trump ripped Judge Juan Merchan in a new interview after Merchan cleared the courtroom to tear into a witness for Trump’s defense, saying the judge “went crazy!”

The courtroom exploded Monday when former Michael Cohen attorney Bob Costello took the stand in the Stormy Daniels hush money-election interference trial and got into it with Merchan in a bombshell moment that ended with an angry Judge Merchan clearing the courtroom.

“I’m putting you on notice that your conduct is contemptuous,” Merchan told Costello, and warned “If you try to stare me down one more time, I will remove you from the stand.”

Jon Delano of CBS Pittsburgh KDKA scored an exclusive interview with Trump on Tuesday, which he kicked off by asking about the trial.

Trump claimed he believes even if he’s convicted, “it may drive the numbers up.”

He lit into the judge, claiming the judge “went crazy” because Costello was so good for his case:

JON DELANO: So well. Before I get into some policy issues, let me just ask you this. As you know, your trial in New York is about to wrap up. Do you think the outcome — whether acquitted or guilty, has any impact on voters in Pennsylvania?

DONALD TRUMP: I think it has no impact at all. I think it has been driving up. This trial is a rigged trial with a judge who’s a crooked judge and a conflicted judge, highly conflicted.

He went crazy yesterday because a witness was so good for me! And it’s a very rigged situation. The public has seen it.

Even if convicted, I think that it has absolutely no impact. It may drive the numbers up.

But we don’t want that. We want to have a fair verdict. So we’ll see what happens. But we’re winning the trial. It shouldn’t even be a trial, as you know, you’re watching like everybody else. It shouldn’t even be a trial.
