Iran Threatens to Assassinate Melania and Barron Trump In Latest Propaganda Clip

Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, which is closely linked to the country’s Revolutionary Guards, put out a new chilling propaganda clip on Monday threatening First Lady Melania Trump and her son Barron.

The clip is titled “How to Kill Melania Trump,” and similar to one Iran put out about President Donald Trump, it purports to show the First Lady’s movements and security detail routes. It shows images of her motorcade moving through New York City streets and name-checks stores it claims she likes to shop at.

Iran has a long history of putting out disturbing and often silly propaganda clips, some of which in recent months have included Legos.

The clip was quick spread on social media and was shared widely by accounts like RT – Russian state television. The Iranian propaganda calls for “freedom fighters” and supporters of the Islamic Republic to take action against the First Lady. RT shared the 2-minute clip with a caption that read, “Iran publish [sic] ‘WHERE TO KILL MELANIA’ GUIDE — Tasnim. Details ROUTES and ROUTINE. With information from ‘ANONYMOUS SECURITY NETWORKS.’”

The clip ends with a threat against Barron, 20, which reads, “This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us.”

Fox News host Mark Levin shared a report on the clip and added, “The Iranian regime continues to threaten the assassination of Trump family members.”

Melania Trump has not made many public appearances in recent months, but that there has not been any reporting on her lack of events being related to security. The New York Post noted, “She missed Friday night’s White House Correspondents Association dinner. A source close to her told The Post she had a ‘scheduling conflict.’”
