The Right Blasts Accused Sex Trafficker Andrew Tate — After Trump Admin Reportedly Lobbied For His Release

Conservative figures are fighting mad as accused sex trafficker Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan flew from Romania to Florida after the Trump administration reportedly brokered for their release from house arrest.

Among them was conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, who unleashed on the brothers in a scathing post, saying the U.S. “doesn’t need more self-proclaimed pimps and terror supporters.”

Another conservative pundit, Richard Hanania, said the moment felt like “a moral watershed.”

Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing warned that conservative media’s “response” to Tate’s arrival would reveal “everything you need to know about them.”

Trump’s adversary, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, made it clear that the brothers were not welcome in the Sunshine State.

“Our attorney general, James Uthmeier, is looking into what state hooks and jurisdiction we may have to be able to deal with this,” DeSantis told reporters Thursday. “But the reality is no, Florida is not a place where you’re welcome with that type of conduct.”

DeSantis’ stance on the Tates angered the MAGA base, with many attacking the governor on social media.

“MAGA influencers are mad at DeSantis because he is speaking out against Andrew Tate,” Chronicles Magazine columnist Pedro L. Gonzalez posted on X. “It takes you five seconds to find stories about how he approached teen girls and brags about breaking the jaws of women. It is impossible to hate these people enough.”

Despite DeSantis’ opposition, the influencer brothers landed in Florida on Thursday morning, shortly after their release from house arrest in Romania, where they were arrested on sex trafficking and rape charges back in late 2022.

The decision to let the brothers leave Romania comes after the Financial Times reported that President Donald Trump’s special envoy Richard Grenell raised their case during a hallway exchange with Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu at the Munich Security Conference earlier this month.

The Tates, who have denied any wrongdoing, are due to return to a Romanian court in March. They also face charges in the UK for sex crimes.
