Trump Sparks Fury on the Left With Meme Suggesting He’s Running in 2028: ‘Things Are Going to Get Really Really Bad Very Very Soon’

President Donald Trump ignited a fury among progressives on social media with a new meme he posted suggesting he will run in 2028.

The meme, posted Saturday afternoon on Truth Social, shows the President wearing a Trump 2028 hat with the caption “We are going to win.”

Despite repeatedly teasing the prospect, Trump has also dismissed it. On Tuesday, the president told reporters that “the law is very strong” in prohibiting him from seeking a third term.

“Everybody asks me that question,” Trump said. “And you know that the law is very strong on that. I’d love to run, but the law is very strong. I get asked by everyone. Even tonight, they’re screaming at the event, “2028!” No, everybody wants me to do it, but the law is very strong.”

Still, the meme on Saturday signaled to many on the left that the president is indeed looking to run one more time, in violation of the Constitution. Here is a sampling of the reaction from prominent progressives on X:
