A clash between firefighters and police in Orense, Spain was caught on camera, and one of the weapons of choice by the firefighters was… actual fire.
Spanish firefighters have been on strike for several months, demanding better working conditions and a “national, legal framework” to better regulate their jobs, making conditions safer and more equal. But tensions got hot when riot police armed with batons pushed back on 200 protesting firefighters, who came armed with a flamethrower, or at least a flamethrower-like device that spits fire.
In this video posted by Anonyme Citoyen on Twitter/X, you can see the flamethrower in action while the battling factions push against each other:

According to Spanish media, this particular clash took place on Monday and resulted in a firefighter having his nose broken by a police officer. A separate report noted one person was arrested for bringing a “device similar to a flamethrower.” Firefighters also called out the police for “failing to follow ‘regulatory procedures,’ and ‘strik[ing] forcefully at the height of the protestors’ heads.'”
