UPDATE: RFK Jr. ‘Suspending’ Campaign, Says Will ‘Now Throw Support’ to Trump

Independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy F. Jr. suspended his longshot White House bid on Friday and endorsed the campaign of former President Donald Trump.

CNN reported Friday that Kennedy had dropped an attempt to get on the ballot in Pennsylvania. In a filing, he wrote, “It is a result of today’s endorsement of Trump.”

The Washington Post also confirmed the language of the campaign filing.

At a much-anticipated Friday presser, Kennedy said he was inspired to run for office by government corruption and said,  “And now to throw my support to President Trump.”

It has been rumored Kennedy would make the decision to exit the race and put his weight behind Trump due to what he categorized as the extremism of Vice President Kamala Harris.

Mediaite’s Diana Falzone, citing multiple sources, reported on Wednesday that Kennedy was expected to end his campaign and support the former president.

“What I can tell you is this. Bobby has been in a period of deep discernment,” Amaryllis Kennedy said. “So please, hold tight until you hear directly from him.”

Kennedy’s running mate Nicole Shanahan hinted on Adam Carolla’s podcast Friday that the political scion could drop out of the race but she declined to offer any specifics.

He had been polling in the low single digits among voters nationwide in recent months.
