‘He’s an Idiot!’ Michigan Native Kid Rock Blasts Dem Candidate Over Viral Mackinac Clip

Michigan native Kid Rock went off on Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed over a resurfaced clip where the Democrat said he “hates” Mackinac Island.

Kid Rock, real name Robert James Ritchie, joined Fox & Friends Weekend on Saturday from Mackinac Island and blasted El-Sayed as an “idiot.” He also dismissed El-Sayed’s team saying the candidate was actually referring to a political conference in Mackinac Island rather than the town itself.

“He’s an idiot!” Kid Rock said. “I know they’re already trying to spin it that he was talking about the political conference up there, no, no, no. He said, I hate this place… Mackinac is one of the most beautiful places in America.”

He described the town, which doesn’t allow automobiles, as “God’s country” and a “Norman Rockwell painting come to life.”

El-Sayed made his comments about Mackinac in a 2020 documentary. During a visit to the island, he said, “I hate Mackinac so much. It’s funny because, like, if we win, this is going to be the like… the summer home. I’m just gonna be like, every time I’ve ever come here I’ve hated it. Why am I here?”

The footage was taken during El-Sayed’s 2018 run for governor.

El-Sayed responded to the clip being posted on X by the account End Wokeness, which declared Mackinac to be “the most American place” in Michigan.

“Not sure about ‘End Wokeness,’ but I don’t think the most “American place in MI” can be a place that…bans cars,” El-Sayed wrote.

Kid Rock called El-Sayed’s spin “Idiocracy Part Two,” referring to the 2006 comedy where a man wakes up in a future where everyone is stupid.

The musician and vocal supporter of President Donald Trump continued going after El-Sayed by raising alarm about the candidate’s Muslim faith.

He said:

We have to very careful of these wolves and sheep’s clothing, and to make another point, it’s like, I would implore Mike Rogers, my friend Mike Rogers to debate this man, and have him state on the record, have him pledge allegiance and acknowledge we are one nation under God, not Muhammad and to and call him out and what his book says, you know, the faith they they they subscribe to that it says there will be no peace on earth until everyone converts to Islam.
