The View’s Joy Behar predicted Fox News and right-wing media figures would be the downfall of President Donald Trump following the White House slamming her as an “irrelevant loser.”

On Thursday’s The View, Behar declared she is more “optimistic” politically than she’s been because she believes the “tide is turning” among Trump’s base. The comedian named vocal Trump supporters, such as Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan, demanding that more Epstein documents be released as evidence that the president is not making the backlash go away. She said:

Marjorie Taylor Greene said that she doesn’t accept Trump’s handling of the Epstein case. “I don’t accept it and I don’t think anyone else should accept it.” Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, Charlie Kirk have all taken aim over Epstein. Joe Rogan, “they can lie about all kinds of things. Where’s the Epstein files?”This goes on and on and the QAnon Shaman is turning on him. He’s now calling him a fraud and a piece of whatever. Now that is interesting to me, and worth watching the news now, because I wanna see how this all plays out. Prior to this, they’ve been very much an acquiescence to the guy. But now that is changing, and I feel positive about it, and optimistic.

Trump and his administration have faced backlash

among many MAGA figures over a Department of Justice/FBI memo that dumped cold water on theories about a high-profile client list for Jeffrey Epstein. The late billionaire died of apparent suicide in 2019 while being charged with sex trafficking. The DOJ memo denied the existence of a client list and concluded that Epstein killed himself. Trump has called the Epstein list a “hoax” and lashed out at his own supporters over demands for more documents related to Epstein’s case to be released.

Behar did not directly respond to Trump’s White House on the show, but said she believed it would be allies like Rupert Murdoch–who owns Fox News, The New York Post, and The Wall Street Journal–that would take down “the monster” Trump. The president is currently suing The Wall Street Journal over a report on a drawing and note that Trump allegedly sent to Epstein in 2003 while they were still friends. Trump has denied making the sketch of a naked woman and writing the note to Epstein.

“I wanted to tell people that the tide is turning. The tide is turning and things are changing. I mean, the ultimate irony would be that Rupert Murdoch will take him down. Fox News, who created the monster, will take him down,” Behar said.

Behar’s comments followed the White House releasing a statement on Wednesday slamming her as an “irrelevant loser.”

“Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” the statement reads. “It’s no surprise that The View’s ratings hit an all-time low last year.”

The statement dropped after Behar mocked Trump as overweight and jealous of former President Barack Obama.

“First of all, who tried to overthrow the government on January 6? Wait, let me think. Who was that again? That was not Obama. The thing about him is that he’s so jealous of Obama because Obama is everything that he is not,” she said. “Trim. Smart. Handsome. Happily married. And can sing Al Green’s song, Let’s Stay Together better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It’s driving him crazy. Jealousy is not a good — green is not a good color.”
