Trump Chief of Staff Gives First Major Interview To Trump Daughter-in-Law On Fox News

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles granted her first interview since taking on her administration role to President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Fox News host Lara Trump.

A preview of Lara Trump’s interview with Wiles aired on Fox News on Friday ahead of the full chat airing on Saturday at 9 p.m. on My View with Lara Trump. In the clip, the pair discuss a “change” in the president during his last campaign, where he was shot during a campaign stop in July 2024 in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Wiles is a longtime Trump ally, having previously worked on his two presidential campaigns. She was also CEO of Trump’s Save America PAC. Wiles is the first woman to serve in the role of White House chief of staff.

“I think he’s a better leader now,” Wiles declared about Trump after Lara Trump credited her with some of the “change” she’s seen in her father-in-law. “So I don’t know that I had anything to do with that, but I think the country benefits from it.”

Check out the exchange below:

LARA TRUMP: I saw it throughout the course of the campaign, and I think people noted the change. There was a slight change in the president and the way he operated, and the way he kind of would take a second and think through things. People gave you a lot of credit for that, Susie.

SUSIE WILES: He’s been through so much, the lawfare, having been the leader of the free world, having had an assassination attempt, he’s a different person than he was, so I really don’t think any one person changed him. I think life, experience, and who he is changed him. I think he’s a better leader now. So I don’t know that I had anything to do with that, but I think the country benefits from it.
