Abrams Media, which owns and operates four growing digital media publishing properties that reach over 10 million unique visitors each month, is hiring a Digital Sales Representative. In addition to Mediaite.com, the sites include TheMarySue.com (geek/entertainment news from a female perspective), Styleite.com (fashion/pop culture), and TheBraiser.com (food entertainment).
Position
The primary responsibility of the Digital Sales Representative is to drive and build revenue from advertisers and the agencies that represent them. The key is to have existing relationships and be able to develop new ones so that we can match client objectives with our niche and highly engaged audiences. This is a fast-paced, client-facing sales role requiring knowledge of the industry and a proven ability to close digital advertising deals. This is also a small company so the person must be a self starter who can thrive in an environment with little infrastructure and significant autonomy. The position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Aggressively prospect and pitch new business (client direct and digital agencies)
– Prepare proposals and carefully and methodically respond to RFPs
– Meet/Exceed sales goals
– Utilize data to craft and develop sales strategies to effectively target and pitch brands
– Stay current on industry trends and changes
Requirements
– 2-4 years digital media sales experience
– Established relationships with digital media ad agencies
– Intimate understanding of digital publishing advertising, including banners, video, viewability, mobile, and custom executions
