Belgian Police, Soldiers Held Alleged Orgy During Brussels Terror Lockdown

shutterstock_175203965Ever since Belgium raised its terror alertespecially in the city of Brussels, Belgians have been fearful of an attack a la what happened in Paris. The ensuing lockdown didn’t go to waste, as two people were arrested on charges of plotting an attack on New Year’s Eve. All the while, a new report suggests that several Belgian soldiers and police officers were getting it on while everyone else was getting inside (their homes).

According to Politico, Belgian media outlets La Dernière Heure and De Standaard reported that two female police officers and eight soldiers “engaged in lewd acts at a police station in the neighborhood of Ganshoren, just north of Molenbeek” during the lockdown. Considering the severity of the increased security, however, the alleged incident(s) isn’t surprising. Everything was closed.

For two weeks in November, the Ganshoren station was transformed into a makeshift barracks for soldiers who were patroling the streets of the Belgian capital after the government raised the threat level to four — the highest level — on November 21. The threat level was lowered to three on November 26. During that time bars were told to close early, and restaurants, museums, shops, schools and the entire metro system were shut.

According to police spokesperson Johan Berckmans, an internal investigation has been launched to determine whether or not the accused participated in said “lewd acts” during their two-week stay at the police barracks.
